A film about events that unfolded 80 years ago. After Germany's surrender, when peace was already being celebrated across Europe, fighting continued in Slovenia. With the retreating German army refusing to give up without a fight, combat continued, villages were burned, and civilians were killed, until Slovenia finally saw the end of the war on 15 May.

Many people no longer understand who fought in the war and why. Without what the Partisans achieved, there would be no Slovenian language and, ultimately, no country. Unfortunately, people are infinitely stupid. We keep repeating the same mistakes and go from war to war. No war ever truly ends.
