Festival of Slovenian Film to return to Portorož in late October

The Festival of Slovenian Film Portorož returns to Portorož, Slovenia, between 22 and 27 October 2024 for its 27th edition to take the pulse of Slovenian cinema. The festival website, where you can keep up to date with the latest news and other festival-related developments, has been updated with the new visual identity. Using the motif of rolling stones, the image symbolises the precise moment when traces of time stir, set in motion. Just like film frames, rolling in the projector, which seem like something that has been, is, or is yet to come. Ever since its beginnings, Slovenian cinema seems to have travelled its path in a way similar to rolling stones – rapidly at times, slower at other times, or even briefly coming to a halt, clashing and colliding. But then it picks up again, often bouncing up high. Most importantly, it keeps on living, for stones are hard to break.
