Meet the 27th FSF Portorož juries
The Vesna awards for the films in the Official Competition are decided by two juries. The jury consisting of Serbian screenwriter and director Gordan Matić, and Slovenian screenwriters and directors Olmo Omerzu and Miran Zupanič, will award prizes for feature films. Meanwhile, the awards for short fiction, documentary, experimental, animated and student films will be given out by a jury including film critic Anja Banko, film director and video artist Jasna Hribernik, and film producer and director Petra Seliškar. The Audience Awardis decided directly by viewers casting their votes.
In addition to the two main festival juries, films of the 27th FSF Portorož will be judged and awarded by the FIPRESCI Association of Slovenian Film Critics jury, consisting of film curator, writer, and film festival producer Maša Peče, film director, curator, programmer, writer and lecturer Varja Močnik, and film writer, film editor and educator Kristian Božak Kavčič, who will select their favourite among the feature films in the Official Competition. A prize for beast feature will also be presented by the Slovenian Art Cinema Association jury, consisting of Suzana Kokalj (Mestni kino Domžale), Vesna Telič Kovač (Kulturni dom Cerknica), and Uroš Zavodnik (Kino Slovenj Gradec / Kulturni dom Slovenj Gradec). Their award supports the screening and promotion of the award-winning feature film in 28 cinemas across Slovenia.
