Welcome to 27th FSF Portorož!

After the children’s matinees and the first screenings of the Panorama Programme, the 27th Festival of Slovenian Film Portorož is about to kick off officially tonight at 7 pm in the Main Hall of Avditorij Portorož with an Opening Gala. During the event, the Milka and Metod Badjura Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to the 2024 recipient, costume designer Zvonka Makuc, by last year’s winner Rado Likon. To celebrate Makuc’s life and work, an exhibition produced by the Association of Slovenian Film Production Designers, Costume Designers and Make-up Artists in collaboration with the Slovenian Federation of Filmmakers’ Guilds will open shortly before the gala event, at 5.30 pm in the Avditorij Foyer.

The formal part of the event will be followed by a screening of the opening film, Cent’anni by Maja Doroteja Prelog, a documentary feature that follows its two protagonists on a cycling tour over the famous Giro d’Italia climbs.
