A story of a 90-year-old deaf woman, who lost her hearing when she was 9. She can still remember the sounds of rivers, hear the stamping of SS soldier boots echoing in her head as they marched past their house. She remembers the time she spent in a deaf-and-dumb asylum in Graz, where she met her husband and, most importantly, found a friend she has stayed connected with for life.
