Rotting 2022 is a film about decay, not just about the decaying flesh of the lepers in the Nuba Mountains or in Blue Nile, but also about the decaying ethics, hearts, minds, and spirit—the rotting values of us in privileged parts of the world who have the medicine but fail to get them to those who need them. For us in comfort zones, some viruses are more detrimental than Covid-19: the viruses of pride, arrogance, and indifference.
